Who We Are

Our Mission Statement:

A group of members working together as a team to raise funds in support of individuals, families and agencies in need in Maui County, giving us the opportunity to contribute to the place we call home.

History of MCWA:

Our group was founded in 1982 by wives of members of the Maui Contractors Association and was originally called the Maui Contractors Women’s Auxiliary. We have continuously been in service since then, raising funds in support of Maui families through donations, community events, and fundraisers. We became a 501(c)(3) organization in the early 2000’s.

We have grown in membership and in our scope of giving over the years, and have earned the reputation of being a consistent source of funding for many Maui non-profits including Women Helping Women, the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center, Feed My Sheep, Maui’s Make-a-Wish Foundation, Camp Imua, Hospice, Project Graduation and many, many more.

We also are, and are very proud of being, a direct source for funds to help individual Maui families in need. Our unofficial motto is, “we give local families in need a hand up, not a handout.” We have a strict policy of providing help with direct needs and expenses.

We are a diverse of group of women, from many backgrounds and cultures, with a common love of Maui and the people who call it home.
